Important Note: Most Little Beach pieces are sold unframed. All framed pieces use frames sourced from reuse/recycling shops to minimize consumer waste. Mat backings are hand-cut and also sourced from reuse and recycling shops.

I try and leave a safety border for customer-sourced secondary mats and frames as well as vertical clearance to allow for the placement of glass, but sometimes my enthusiasm and/or the height of the shells presents a challenge. Given the delightfully tactile nature of shells, I am a big proponent of “open face” frames that give the ability for shells to be not only seen, but also felt.
