The Serra de Tramuntana comprise the northwestern “backbone” of Mallorca, running southwest to northeast, and they bring the drama. Not only are the Tramuntana a UNESCO World Heritage site (NBD), they are also home to Mallorca’s most iconic cycling climbs, or drives for the lazier among us.

Margaret River is the well-regarded heart of Western Australia’s wine-producing region. The area is booming, but it’s still easy to get off the beaten path and discover some blissfully wild beaches.

After 20 years in marketing and 6.5 years in the bike business, I’m taking a little break from traditional work. During this break, I’ve completed a major home project, done some traveling and mulled through mid-life thoughts… I thought it was time to do something creative with one of my favorite pastimes.
